Qlucore and Nebion collaboration benefits scientists

In Qlucore Omics Explorer 3.0 there is additional functionality which helps scientists reach beyond the current experiment and explore biological context. Examples of this include; integrated GSEA Workbench, integrated GO Browser and the flexible variable lists handling feature.

To further support you in analyzing your data we would like to introduce you to the Nebion Genevestigator solution.

Genevestigator is a web-based tool for systematic screening of genes against a wide variety of biological contexts such as tissues, cancers, diseases, responses. The input to Genevestigator is one gene, or many genes, which you would like to investigate in the context of thousands of curated public experiments. Gene lists from Qlucore can easily be imported in Genevestigator.

Genevestigator contains a range of tools to assist analysis. One example is the Condition Search tool which allows users to screen thousands of conditions and identify those that are relevant for the genes of interest. Other tools let users search for genes that have particular expression characteristics, e.g. specifically expressed in a particular tissue type.

The user generally ends up having identified a few conditions that most strongly regulate one or a few genes. Each of these conditions are described in detail and the source of the original data is indicated (e.g. link to GEO). This GEO dataset can then easily be downloaded and analyzed in Qlucore Omics Explorer.

The combination of the Qlucore and Genevestigator platforms offer an excellent tool to help researchers get better results, quickly.
