Qlucore Omics Explorer 3.4 makes single cell RNA-seq analysis and visualization easier

Qlucore, a leader in the development of bioinformatics visualization and analysis software, has today launched the latest version of its user friendly software. Qlucore Omics Explorer 3.4 enables Single cell RNA-seq analysis with a one button configuration of fast t-SNE plots.

A typical human cell consists of about 3.3 billion base pairs of DNA and 600 million bases of mRNA. Usually a mix of millions of cells are used in sequencing the DNA or RNA using traditional methods

Single cell sequencing is one solution for approaching a set of seemingly inaccessible problems, whereby cellular functions can be investigated extensively, enabling research into various areas such as microbial genetics, ecology and infectious diseases.

Some of the key new features of Qlucore Omics Explorer Version 3.4 are:

  • Single cell RNA-seq analysis, including one button instant configuration of fast t-SNE plots. Can be done in parallel with PCA plots. Aids in speeding up analysis of data
  • Broader suite of plots and tools for analysis of data. Exploring clinical annotations is easier with the new Annotation Wizard. Can be used for hypothesis generation and hypothesis driven analysis, and can be used by different types of users, from biologists to experienced bioinformaticians.
  • Manage workflows easier with subsampling, variable pre-filters and the improved data import wizard.
  • Greater versatility and better insight into data with new and upgraded plot types. Examples are the new Volcano plot and the Venn diagram. Box plot with significance level and survival statistics for Kaplan-Meier plots.
