Flexible plot exports support diverse requirements

We are sometimes asked questions about how you can best export your visualizations (or plots) from Qlucore Omics Explorer. The software gives extensive export flexibility to support your various needs.

Firstly, use the functionality in the View tab and specifically theMore plot settings to configure the visualization and make sure it matches what you are expecting. Colors, fonts, line widths and more can be tailored.

The next step is to export the plot. For PCA and heat map plots you have two main options, either as an image (png or tiff) or as a video (Windows only). The resolution can be configured over very broad ranges to allow for high resolution images. For scatter, line, box and bar plots it is also possible to export plots in Portable Document Format (.pdf) and Scalable Vector Format (.svg).

Looking forward a couple of months the new Qlucore Omics Explorer Version 3.3 will include further enhancements in the image configuration and export area. Some highlights are:

• Scale resolution based on dpi for heat map and PCA plots
• Dendrogram and labels in heat map adjusts to the screen set-up
• Export heat maps in pdf format
• All open plots for a data set can be exported in a pdf
