Biomarker discovery

The Biomarker Workbench is optimized for experiments and studies in the areas of drug development and biomarker discovery.

The Biomarker Workbench is a part of Qlucore Omics Explorer and makes it easier and faster to run batches of statistical tests. This can be used to search and select effective compounds or other relevant signals in experiments with extensive amounts of subgroups. Results are presented in tables and the structured outcome can be exported and also be used as the starting point for following analysis steps using plots and other tools in the program.

The Biomarker Workbench is optimized for experiments and studies in areas such as drug development and biomarker discovery. A broad spectrum of Omics data can be used as input, examples are gene expression, proteomics and metabolomics data.

Any number of statistical tests can be set up as explanatory variables and all standard model and test types in the program are also available the Biomarker Workbench, examples are ANOVA, t-test and paired t-tests. Post-hoc tests are also supported.

Key areas

  • Run multiple jobs of statistical tests (in batch mode) on many annotations with different conditions.
  • Drug candidate testing
  • Find correlation between sample annotations – an excellent way to focus on key annotations when working with large amounts of clinical data.
